Spare place in Great North Run
Hi all - A friend of mine has a place in the GNR on 20 September but is injured and can no longer do it. Does anyone want to take her place? I assume you'd have to run under her name (she'd be delighted with her recorded PB!) and would be good if you'd be happy to cover her entry fee of about £30 if you could. Let me know if anyone fancies it. Thanks - Clare

I am going down from Glasgow to watch my friend do the Great North run, but would much rather be running it.
I will be running the Glasgow half marathon on Sunday and it would be great to get another race in this month.
Absolutely no problem with covering £30 entry fee.

Hi everyone - Thanks for all of your comments and offers to take the place. I don't know if there's been a problem with our computer but I only saw all these responses today though I've been checking regularly. I'd assumed by now that no one was interested, so my friend has postponed her place to next year instead.
