CLUB DINNER

As usual >> 10 Jan, 7 till 11-30 at The Royal Oak, Ockbrook.
Note that we are a week earlier than last year so we can have our nosebag and a few scoops of ale the evening after a N Mids XC rather than the night before an East Mids XC.(with resultant hangover)
Once again it's a snip at £14.

We confirmed the suspicion that runners can't dance, apart from Scott who has obviously been in training for the event.
Club do........Phew
We now have 61 for the social event of the year.
We needed 57 to break even so I won't need a government bail out or do a runner.
Anyone who's not paid yet please bring a cheque made to EVRC on the night so I don't have to handle cash when I've had a skinfull.

Thanks for organising the do. The venue was good, the food was brilliant but the disco was crap. How about next year - same place, same food but we will provide the music ourselves - we have the means (well Richard does).

OWN DISCO
Well for a start we'll save £120 (£2 each) by doing that.
Can Richard come up with a concrete proposal and we'll see what others think.....?
I'll do whatever everyone or at leat the majority wants.
Suggestion
For a start we could put an iPod of eclectic music together, so it's under our control.
We have enough amplifiers between us as well.
If our band ever reforms then we can really deafen everyone.
