Roaches fell race
Report by Matt
Roaches was awesome, really enjoyed it. The fields were boggy as all hell, and the farmer has refilled the slurry trap. Also owns the muddiest, sinkiest paddock in the whole wide world.
As a bonus, if you were willing to get your feet muddy, you could pick up loads of places. Then up the roaches, into the fog with about 50 yards visibility. Lovely running along the top, then down into some boggy forest, across a stream, up some boggy paddocks, to a very boggy paddock, where both me and Andy K went up to our nadgers in mud. Then down to the bottom, and back up shutlingslow. Wasn't as bad as Stuart made out, but was a fierce wind up top.
Nice steady run down, back past the andys, then along and back home. Was first back in 2.26, 20 somethingth and was still feeling pretty good, so should have run faster. Andy K next, looking like death warmed up, in 2.4-something, and then Andy W, after bonking out a couple of miles out, in 3 something. More tracker bars required I think.
Also think it should be on the calendar for everyone to do, such a brilliant race.
