Retford half marathon

A cold winter’s day to run on the roads in north Notts we thought.  We don’t often run road races of this magnitude so didn’t know how to pace it.  So I went for the slow start, with an attempt to pick up the pace later on.  The slow start was very effective but unfortunately the fast finish was a little lacking.  Not a bad little race with a good long down hill at about 11 miles, which was almost enjoyable.
